The Portland Trail Blazers continue to hold pre-draft workouts for NBA hopefuls. The crop of players at the practice facility in Tualatin Thursday includes two Oregon Ducks.

On Thursday morning, Blazers beat reporter Casey Holdahl tweeted a list of players that Portland is working out.

For those of us here in the Pacific Northwest, a couple of those names stand out: Oregon Ducks players Troy Brown and MiKyle McIntosh.

The Ducks

Troy Brown

Brown is a 6-foot-7, 215-pound forward who just completed his freshman year at the University of Oregon. A McDonald’s All-American coming out of Centennial High School in Las Vegas, Brown was ranked 18th in ESPN’s Top 100.

Brown – the first one-and-done basketball player in UO history – averaged 11.3 points and a team-high 6.2 rebounds per game for the Ducks.

And he has at least one acquaintance on the Trail Blazers — Zach Collins, who also played high school ball in Las Vegas (Bishop Gorman High School).

MiKyle McIntosh

McIntosh is a 6-foot-7, 240-pound forward; he just finished his redshirt senior season with the U of O. He averaged 11.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game this season with the Ducks.

He’s a bit of a fouling machine — racking up 119 personal fouls to tie the Ducks’ single-season record.

McIntosh went to Pickering High School in Ontario, Canada. And he also played at Illinois State prior to transferring to Oregon. At Illinois State, he was an all-Missouri Valley Conference second team selection as a junior in 2016-17.
