 9.) Geoff Petrie

Pick: #8 1970 NBA Draft

Petrie helped guide the Trail Blazers through their inaugural season. He split ROY (rookie of the year) honors with Dave Cowens in in the 1970-71 season. Petrie played in two All Star Games in his time in Portland. He ranks 5th in total assists and 7th in total points.

The sharp shooting Petrie played six years in Rip City before being traded to Atlanta. His trade to the Hawks netted Maurice Lucas for the Trail Blazers. His number 45 hangs in the rafters of the Rose Garden Moda Center to this day.
