Portland Trail Blazers NBA In-Season Tournament Schedule
An in-season tournament will be introduced for the first time ever in the league’s history. But in contrast to similar tournaments in the soccer world, the NBA In-Season Tournament’s results will be included in a team’s regular-season tally.
The competition kicks off with group stages leading up to the knockout phase. Barring the tournament’s final, all matches will impact the teams’ regular-season standings. Below are the scheduled games for the Blazers in this tournament:
- November 3, 2023: vs Memphis Grizzlies
- November 14, 2023: at Utah Jazz
- November 17, 2023: vs. Los Angeles Lakers
- November 21, 2023: at Phoenix Suns
While the Blazers fared well against this group of teams last season, going 8-6, the Grizzlies, Lakers, and Suns are all strong bets to make the playoffs and feature some of the league’s most premiere players. The in-season tournament will be a big test for the Blazers.

Blazers Schedule Highlights
Every season brings its own set of challenges and milestones. For the Blazers, there are several key dates and matchups that fans should circle on their calendars:
Facing Old Rivals
The first time the Blazers face off against the Golden State Warriors and the Lakers is always a heated contest. The matchups are slated for Sunday, November 12th in Los Angeles and Sunday, December 17th, vs. Golden State this season, and each promises to be a game to remember.
Reunion with Former Players
The return of Josh Hart and Drew Eubanks to the Moda Center will be emotional. Hart quickly became a fan favorite after joining the Blazers, and many fans were sad to see him traded at the deadline last season. He will return on Thursday, March 14th, when the New York Knicks come to Portland.
Although he was initially signed as a depth piece, the Troutdale Shaq won over fans with his high-energy play and filthy blocks. Mark Tuesday, December 19th, on your calendar as the Blazers take on the Phoenix Suns.
Damian Lillard’s First Game Against The Blazers?
After 11 glorious years as a Trail Blazer, Lillard may be on the move. Based on the current rumors, we can speculate when the Blazers’ best player of all time will face the only professional team he’s ever known.
The Miami Heat and the Blazers face off on Tuesday, February 27th, in Portland on a night that could be a tear-jerker for both Dame and his fans.
If Lillard doesn’t don a Heat jersey as he requested, there are a couple of other teams in the running.
The Blazers go to Brooklyn to square off against the Nets on Sunday, January 7th, and face the Boston Celtics for the first time on Monday, March 11th, in Portland.
Champion Showdown
The team will play the reigning NBA champions, Denver Nuggets, in back-to-back games in Denver. Friday, February 2nd, and Sunday, February 4th, will be a chance for the Blazers to test their mettle against the best in the league.
The Wemby Challenge
Facing Wemby is set to be a unique challenge. The Blazers missed out on him by just two picks. This season, the Blazers will take him on in back-to-back games at home on Thursday, December 28th, and Friday, December 29th, in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
Back-to-Backs and Road Trips
The Blazers have twenty-two back-to-back games this season. Their longest road trips stretch over seven games, starting from Monday, January 1st to Friday, January 12th, and Monday, March 25th to Sunday, April 7th.
The 2023-24 season promises to be a roller coaster of emotions, challenges, and triumphs. With a rejuvenated roster and a burning desire to prove their critics wrong, the Portland Trail Blazers are set to embark on a journey that fans won’t want to miss.
7 Players the Portland Trail Blazers gave up on too soon
The Portland Trail Blazers should have been more patient with these seven players, instead of moving on from them and giving up way too soon.
