8.) Jim Paxson
Pick: #12 1979 NBA Draft
The 6’6″ guard was a scoring force in his eight seasons in Portland. Paxson appeared in two All Star Games while a Trail Blazer. He holds down the sixth spot for both total points and assists for the Blazers. He left Portland as their all time leading scorer.
Paxson and Kiki Vandeweghe provided the Trail Blazers with lethal scoring in the early eighties. His scoring touch and passing are still fondly remembered by longtime Blazer fans. Paxson played in the in-between era (1977 title – late 80’s title contenders) in Portland, but his legacy remains solid.
