Trail Blazers injury report vs. Kings: Jerami Grant, DeMar DeRozan, & more
By Reese Kunz
The Portland Trail Blazers are set to face off against the Sacramento Kings at home in Moda Center on Nov. 29 at 7:00 p.m. PT. This is their second matchup of 2024-25 against the Kings, falling to them on the road in Sacramento 111-98 on Oct. 28.
In their first contest, the Kings were led by De'Aaron Fox and DeMar DeRozan, who had 24 and 23 points, respectively. The Blazers' standout performers were Deandre Ayton (20 points and 11 rebounds) and Scoot Henderson (18 points and five assists). However, three-point shooting was the main deciding factor, as Sacramento connected on 40 percent of their attempts compared to just 18.2 percent for Portland.
This could be a closer matchup with the Blazers being at home. They've also been playing much better basketball lately than they were at the very beginning of the season, and they will have Shaedon Sharpe this time around. However, the Blazers still have a long injury list in this matchup, similar to their recent loss to the Indiana Pacers.
Portland Trail Blazers injury report
Matisse Thybulle (ankle) and Donovan Clingan (knee) are out for Portland. Thybulle suffered a right ankle sprain and will be out for 3-6 weeks, while Clingan sustained a Grade 2 MCL sprain and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Other Blazers on the injury report include Kris Murray (chest), Jerami Grant (knee), and Robert Williams III (concussion protocol). All three players missed the last game against the Pacers and are also at risk of being out against the Kings. Especially Grant and Williams, who are both listed as doubtful. Murray is questionable and will be a game-time decision.
Sacramento Kings injury report
It's a shorter injury list for the Kings, but still more significant. Sacramento will be without star forward DeMar DeRozan (back). Devin Carter (shoulder) and Trey Lyles (calf) are also ruled out.
DeRozan's back inflammation injury is the most short-term of the three. Lyles will re-evaluated in 3-4 weeks due to a right calf strain. Carter, Sacramento's No. 13 overall selection this past summer, suffered a torn labrum and underwent shoulder surgery in July. At that point, he was given a six-month re-evaluation timeline.
How to watch Kings at Blazers
It's not a nationally televised game, but Blazers fans will be able to watch either over the air or via BlazerVision, their new streaming service introduced this year. Those watching over the air can do so for free with an antenna.
In the Portland area, the game will be on KATU Charge!: Channel 2.2. Here is a complete streaming guide for how to watch in other Pacific Northwest areas outside of Portland. The other alternative is NBA LeaguePass (blackout restrictions apply).
The Blazers will remain home on Sunday, Dec. 1, against the Dallas Mavericks, with tip-off scheduled for 6:00 p.m. PT.
