Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard was only eliminated from the NBA Playoffs in the last few weeks, but he has already had a few things happen since then.
Disappointingly for him and fans of the team, his epic first-sound series that included a record-breaking 55-point game wasn’t enough to get past the short-handed Denver Nuggets, as they lost in six games.
Dame’s off-season has begun now. With long-time head coach Terry Stotts parting ways with the team after nine years, Dame will be having a say in who ends up being hired as the next coach. The Blazers will conduct interviews in the upcoming weeks with a range of candidates.
On a more positive note for Blazers fans, is Dame’s movie acting debut in the much anticipated upcoming movie ” Space Jam; A New Legacy.” Dame will have a significant role in the movie alongside LeBron James, who is the star of the show, and other current players such as WNBA Star Diana Taurasi and Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson.
Today on his Instagram, Dame also announced that he wouldn’t just be starring in the movie; he will also appear on the soundtrack alongside other artists, G-Eazy, P-Lo and White Dave.
The single is called ” About That Time, ” and it looks like it has been produced under Dame’s label front page music. Fans are able to pre-save and pre-order the soundtrack on Dame’s Instagram page.
The movie is scheduled to debut in theaters and on HBO Max on July 16.
