I toyed with Russell Westbrook here, but there’s just something different about Derrick Rose in Chicago.

If you haven’t seen already, Anfernee Simons has some of the best bounce in the league, so in terms of athleticism, he needs to be shooting for the stars.

Former Blazer Meyers Leonard caught the heat this time around, as Simons rose up and absolutely yammed one. His practice dunks are even better, and anyone around Portland knows that Simons can seriously get up.

Derrick Rose in Chicago epitomizes the athletic point guard. When he wasn’t shifting his body around people, he was going over the top of them, and Anfernee Simons needs to study Rose in order to maximize his athletic potential.

If Simons lets defenses know about his athletic ability, they’ll guard him in a different way; more often than not, this new respect will give Simons more space to get his shot off.
