2. Rasheed Wallace’s Silent Technical

“Technically speaking, we’re number one.” This slogan was strewn across a Portland fan’s poster during the 2000-2001 season, when Rasheed Wallace set the record for the most technical fouls in an NBA season. This specific incident took place during Game Six of the 2000 Western Conference Finals against the Lakers, offering a preview to all the ridiculous ways Wallace managed to get “T’d Up” the following year.

The game had not been going great for Wallace. Early in the second quarter, the forward had already managed to rack up three fouls, adding a technical after complaining to referee Ron Garretson as Wallace sat court side.

As his teammates and fans of the time may have predicted, the antics did not stop there. Following a Los Angeles timeout, Wallace felt the need to give Garretson the stare down as he slowly walked to the bench. As you can see in the clip below, that was all it took for the big man to get ejected.

While the incident struck a nerve at the time, it now stands as one of the more humorous memories in a series many Blazer fans consider the most painful of all time.
