Be aggressive in the front office

If there’s one thing we learn about Jerry Krause in  ‘ The Last Dance, ‘ it’s that he was super aggressive when it came to making moves in the front office.

Be it in the draft, free agency, making trades or hiring new personnel: Krause wasn’t scared to upset people by making moves that he thought would get them to a title.

Heres a quick summary of great but aggressive moves he made in his time in charge.

Olshey should never be so loyal to his players that he can’t make moves if it’s going to better the team.

All the moves above kept the Bulls at a championship level for around a decade.

Doug Collins got the Bulls to the Conference Finals then he was replaced by Phil Jackson.

If Olshey needs to move on from Terry Stotts, then he shouldn’t hesitate. This doesn’t mean we are calling for Stotts to be fired, but Olshey should look to make moves that better this team and if that includes coaching staff then so be it.

At the time when Oakley was traded, he was a great friend of Jordan’s, so obviously this move wasn’t popular within the locker-room.

In Portland, Lillard is very close to some players off the court. The front office shouldn’t let this impact decisions when it comes to personnel or making the team better.
