After the chaotic and historical trade deadline that just happened, the NBA world finally gets a much-needed break in the form of All-Star Weekend!
This year's festivities will take place at the Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors. Friday kicks off the festivities with the Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game (7 p.m. ET on ESPN) and Castrol Rising Stars event (9 p.m. ET on TNT & TruTV).
This year, the NBA is trying out a new format for the Rising Stars event. Four teams, one consisting of G League players, will face off in a single-elimination tournament. The tournament winner gets the honor of playing in the inaugural NBA All-Star Game tournament on Sunday.
Unfortunately, Scoot Henderson won't be able to participate in the NBA Rising Stars event after suffering a sprained right ankle in their loss to Denver. Nuggets guard Julian Strawther was chosen as Henderson's replacement. But Toumani Camara and Bryce McGowens (Rip City Remix) will still be representing the Portland Trail Blazers this weekend!
Hopefully, the tournament-style changes will make the All-Star game more competitive. If Camara's team makes it, we know that won't be an issue.

Predicting the MVP
Team Chris has a lot of promising rookies and a good balance of players, but we are rolling with Team Mitch. They get the easier draw in the bracket as they face the G League team first.
Putting Camara on the same team as the Thompson twins should be illegal. It's going to be entertaining, as they are going to be absolute pests defensively. Scoring may be an issue for this team, but their elite defense and easy draw give them the nod.
Although we're biased, we think Camara will prove that he's more than just a 3-and-D player, providing Team Mitch with some much-needed offense. He's an intriguing pick, but if this team wins, it will be on the back of Rockets guard Amen Thompson.
