What would a Keldon Johnson deal look like for the Trail Blazers?

With the Spurs building quickly around Wemby, Keldon might find himself on the outs in San Antonio.

Possible Blazers trade package for Keldon Johnson

A trade to bring Keldon Johnson to Portland would almost certainly be centered around Malcolm Brogdon. Brogdon was an excellent option at point guard for the Blazers and put most concerns about his health to rest last season. However, despite the value that Brogdon provides as a floor-raiser, it's time for Portland to lean more heavily on their young guards this season. Scoot Henderson, in particular, is a player the Blazers hope will be taking a Sophomore season leap and hush all the critics.

Although Matisse Thybulle is another name that could be interesting for the Spurs, the Blazers would likely have to give up some draft capital in addition to giving up Brogdon to get this deal done. The value of draft picks in the NBA is highly volatile and can shift significantly throughout a season. For a trade like this, the Blazers would likely need to give up anywhere from a couple of future second-rounders to a first-round pick.

However, for the sake of not being too optimistic, I would bet on this trade landing with Portland giving up the No. 14 pick in this year's draft and possibly a protected future first-round pick.

Would San Antonio be willing to move on from their up-and-coming forward for this package?
