Blazers resurrect Warriors' season in most ludicrous Jerami Grant trade proposal yet
Blazers get Warriors' Andrew Wiggins, Moses Moody for Jerami Grant
Bleacher Report's Zach Buckley pitched this idea, presumably as a way to give Golden State a player it sorely needs.
Swapping out Wiggins for Grant is a massive upgrade for the Warriors. Wiggins was a key piece of the team that won the 2022 title, but he's been half the player he was during that postseason, and that's being generous.
The former No. 1 overall pick averaged 16.5 points and 7.5 rebounds across 22 games that postseason, all starts. He was critical as a rebounder and defender who guarded the opposition's best player every night. He was the perfect low usage two-way wing Golden State needed to slide between Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
Grant would be the 2024 edition of Wiggins, except a better offensive player in every way, which would be of huge help to this year's Warriors team that is too reliant on a diminished Thompson and Green.
