Is Jerami Grant playing tonight? Lineup projections for Trail Blazers vs. Pelicans
After winning back-to-back road games against the lowly Charlotte Hornets and Washington Wizards to snap a 10-game losing streak, the Portland Trail Blazers predictably dropped a game to the league's best team in Boston on April 7.
Head coach and now Hall of Famer Chauncey Billups will look to get his team back in the win column tonight as the Blazers return home to face the New Orleans Pelicans at Moda Center. But who will be available to Billups as Portland's tank-friendly injury report remains lengthy and full of veterans?
Injury report for Pelicans at Trail Blazers
Portland's usual suspects remain on the bench for tonight's game. Forward Jerami Grant is once again listed as doubtful.
With the exception of Brandon Ingram, New Orleans rolls into Rip City relatively healthy and fighting for the sixth seed in the Western Conference. The complete injury report for tonight's game is as follows:
Portland Trail Blazers:
- Out: Malcolm Brogdon (elbow); Toumani Camara (ribs); Shaedon Sharpe (abdominal); Anfernee Simons (knee); Matisse Thybulle (ankle); Robert Williams III (knee)
- Doubtful: Jerami Grant (hamstring)
- Questionable: Ibou Badji (back)
New Orleans Pelicans:
- Out: Brandon Ingram (knee); Naji Marshall (shoulder)
- Questionable: Dyson Daniels (knee)
Projected starters for Blazers vs. Pelicans
With the same names in the same spots in the injury report, it's safe to assume Billups will roll out the same starting five he's used in the past handful of games:
PG: Scoot Henderson
SG: Rayan Rupert
SF: Kris Murray
PF: Jabari Walker
C: Deandre Ayton
Dalano Banton should get a large chunk of minutes (and shots) off the bench.
Meanwhile, Pelicans Head Coach Willie Green is expected to name the following five starters, which includes an old friend:
PG: CJ McCollum
SG: Herb Jones
SF: Trey Murphy III
PF: Zion Williamson
C: Jonas Valanciunas
