2. Jarred Vanderbilt

Jarred Vanderbilt is an under-the-radar player who the Blazers could acquire for cheap after his relatively disappointing season with the Los Angeles Lakers, during which his scoring average decreased from 7.2 to 5.2 points per game. Vanderbilt's stock has declined since becoming a member of the Lakers, and he has only played 26 and 29 games in the past two seasons in Los Angeles.

Still, he's only 25 years old and could be a serviceable role player for the Blazers. His strengths in the NBA are a perfect pair with the Blazers' team weaknesses, including lack of positional size, which negatively affects their defense and rebounding.

From a positional standpoint, the Blazers' most significant long-term question mark is power forward. Jerami Grant is the oldest player on their roster at 30 years old and is heavily linked to the Lakers in trade rumors. The Blazers would likely need to make it a multi-player or even multi-team deal to make it work financially, but one player they should be adamant about getting back is Vanderbilt (owed $10.7 million next season).

Between him and Toumani Camara, the Blazers could have a starting-caliber forward to complement their up-and-coming core. At the very least, Vanderbilt could provide spot minutes and energy off the bench. He is underutilized in Los Angeles and is a low-risk flier that the Blazers should take.
