The Portland Trail Blazers have a few notable head-to-head losing streaks entering next season that they will look to redeem. Unsurprisingly, their five largest active losing streaks all come from Western Conference teams. After looking at the list of teams, it will be challenging for the Blazers to end these streaks in 2024-25.

Honorable mentions: Chicago Bulls (five-game losing streak), Boston Celtics (four), Minnesota Timberwolves (four)

Thunder lead the Blazers' list of head-to-head losing streaks

Here are the Blazers' five biggest head-to-head losing streaks:

Oklahoma City Thunder - 12 games

Next chance to end streak: Friday, November 1 (home)

Los Angeles Clippers - 9 games

Next chance to end streak: Wednesday, October 30 (away)

Denver Nuggets - 7 games

Next chance to end streak: Thursday, December 19 (home)

Golden State Warriors - 6 games

Next chance to end streak: Wednesday, October 23 (home)

New Orleans Pelicans - 6 games

Next chance to end streak: Friday, October 25 (home)

The good news for the Blazers is that they don't have to wait long in their 2024-25 schedule to get revenge on most of their largest losing streaks. Their regular season kicks off on October 23 against the Warriors, followed by two matchups against the Pelicans. The Warriors, Pelicans (three times), Clippers, and Thunder are all teams the Blazers face off within the first ten games. Their first opportunity to end the seven-game losing streak with the Nuggets will have to wait until December 19.

There's an apparent reason these are the most formidable opponents for the Blazers to beat, as they are some of the best teams in the NBA, and all have playoff aspirations. The Blazers have a brutal start to the season, facing 27 Western Conference teams in their first 29 games. And the start to their schedule may be even more grueling than initially thought, given the number of teams who have had the Blazers' number that they play early on.

However, the Clippers, Warriors, and Nuggets have all arguably gotten worse this offseason with key free agency departures, which could give the Blazers a puncher's chance. Let's hope they can end some of these losing streaks.
