5 Takeaways from the Trail Blazers' 5 Summer League games

2. No one proved worthy of last two-way contract
The Blazers have filled two of their two-way spots with Justin Minaya and Bryce McGowens. There's one remaining, but no one stood out in Summer League.
Kennedy Chandler is an option, as he was the Blazers' second-highest scorer, averaging 12.8 points per game. But his combination of size and lack of shooting is worrisome. Chandler is 5-foot-11 and shot 20 percent from beyond the arc in their five games. That's not a recipe for success in the NBA, despite his athleticism and ability to get to the rim that he showcased.
Another option is Chinese sharpshooter Jacky Cui. He went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft but has signed an Exhibit 10 training camp deal with Portland, according to Sean Highkin of The Rose Garden Report. Cui played minimally in the Summer League (three games for 7.2 minutes per game). In those limited minutes, he averaged three points on 43/40/100 shooting splits.
The Blazers need more shooting, and Cui could make sense as someone to take a flier on. Unfortunately, we didn't get enough sample size in the Summer League to be sure.
