4. New York Knicks

The Knicks lost Isaiah Hartenstein in free agency to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Many overlook his departure, as his impact on winning is higher than his 7.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game last season would indicate. Now, New York's biggest positional weakness is its center position.

They still have Mitchell Robinson, but he's also injury-prone, as he has played over 60 games in only one of his past four seasons. The Knicks should consider adding Williams; while he's another injury-prone big man who has averaged even fewer games per season than Robinson, the idea here is that the Knicks would have one reliable starting center in the aggregate between Robinson and Williams.

They could benefit from a defensive-minded center like RW3 to help contain the paint-dominant superstars in the Eastern Conference, including Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Knicks have limited young assets to give up as they have gone all-in on becoming the "Nova Knicks" after trading the Nets for Mikal Bridges this summer.

One intriguing piece is guard Miles McBride, who could be more expendable now that the Knicks have rookie point guard Tyler Kolek as the backup floor general. Another player Portland could take a flier on is Frenchman Pacome Dadiet, who was selected No. 25 overall in this year's draft. He might also not fit New York's playoff timeline, given that he's 19 and one of the rawest prospects in the entire draft class.
