Pick No. 29: Utah Jazz (via Thunder) select Pacome Dadiet

The Utah Jazz find themselves in a unique yet ideal draft position at No. 29. The majority of teams selecting around this range will be targeting win-now prospects; this is reflected in the past two selections with the Minnesota Timberwolves selecting Terrence Shannon Jr. and the Denver Nuggets taking DaRon Holmes II. The Jazz don't need to be ready to contend for a deep playoff run after finishing with a 31-51 record.

As a result, they are in a prime position to select a high-risk, high-reward prospect here, such as Frenchman Pacome Dadiet. The 18-year-old still has room to improve after averaging only 6.9 and 2.6 rebounds per game on 53/38/78 shooting splits in 36 games with the Ratiopharm Ulm in the G-BBL. He has an extremely low floor, but Dadiet's 6-foot-8 frame and versatility could be enough to land in the first round.

With the Jazz focusing on Nikola Topic at No. 10 overall in this scenario, they have reason to emphasize patience in their rebuilding process. Pairing Topic with Dadiet would make a ton of sense, as Dadiet is still a raw prospect who needs a few more developmental seasons in order to fulfill his upside.
