The Portland Trail Blazers make the quick trip East tonight to take on the Utah Jazz who, prior to game time on March 22, sit a half-game up on the Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans for the 10th seed in the West and the conference’s final play-in position.

While the Jazz need to rack up as many wins as possible to reach postseason play, the Blazers have reached the point where they need to rack up as many losses as possible to increase their lottery positioning and odds at landing the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 draft.

Portland has been dealing with injuries to Jerami Grant and Anfernee Simons, among others, while Utah hopes to see Jordan Clarkson and Collin Sexton in the lineup tonight.

Who’s in and who’s out for both teams?

Maybe it’s good news by way of bad news, but Grant and Simons will both miss tonight’s game in Utah. Justise Winslow and Ibou Badji remain sidelined as well.

The Blazers will also be without Nassir Little, who recently entered the NBA’s concussion protocol. That leaves Portland light on the wings with more minutes available for Cam Reddish, Matisse Thybulle, and Shaedon Sharpe.

Utah, meanwhile, will be without Clarkson and Sexton, two key cogs in head coach Will Hardy’s offense.

The Trail Blazers are four games back of the Jazz entering tonight’s game.
