Predicting the 2022 Portland Trail Blazers Lineups

1. Point Guard: Damian Lillard

At this point in his career, we all know exactly what Damian Lillard is; one of the best point guards in the NBA, and although his loyalty to the Blazers franchise has become a talking point in recent years, it’s never wavered, as he intends to do his best to bring a Championship to Portland. Dame was limited to just 29 games a season ago, as Portland fell all the way to the No. 13 spot in the Western Conference, but now that he’s healthy, he appears ready to bounce back to his pre-injury form.

Lillard is a 24 PPG scorer over his 10 year career in Portland, and while this squad has had some talent over the years, the scoring that this starting lineup can facilitate with him at point guard in 2022 could be on another level entirely. At 32-years of age, Lillard is in to the back half of his career, but with so much youth around, he should be just as good as ever in 2022, and if this team can play defence, they should be a fun team that can compete every single night.

Aside from an NBA Championship ring and MVP, Dame has achieved everything in the NBA over his 10-year career, but this. year, with his loyalty being tested, he will go all out to get a ring with the Blazers. If that doesn’t happen, or if this team doesn’t take a significant step in that direction in 2022, there’s just no telling what the future of Dame Dolla truly is with the Portland Trail Blazers.
