Assists per game – Damian Lillard

One part of Lillard’s game that has continued to improve over the last few years, is his playmaking. Last year, we saw some excellent play in the pick and roll where he was able to set Enes Kanter up for easy buckets over and over as teams tried to take care of the threat of Lillard’s shooting.

He works so hard on his game in the off-season and has truly been able to elevate his reads and passing game.

The last two seasons he had career highs in assist percentage at 33.5 percent, as well as achieving his highest and second-highest assists per game in the last two seasons, at 8.0 and 7.5

Lillard has two other excellent passers on his team in Nurkic and McCollum, but as the number one option who will have the ball in his hands most of the time, Lillard is the clear front-runner to lead the team in this category in the coming season.
