Goal #2 – shoot 35 percent from three-point range

Little, in his second year, shot 35 percent from three, but on a very low volume of just 52 attempts.

Little’s jumper is sound mechanically, and the only reason the volume was small last year, is he wasn’t afforded a bigger role in the offense. Because he is such a threat attacking off the bounce, with his speed and athleticism, if his shot comes along then he is so much more of a threat if his shot is going in.

Little is a prime threat for attacking closeouts, if he can get his volume up to around three attempts per game and keep his efficiency at 35 percent, this will open up the rest of his game.

As a shooter, Little actually got to his mid-range a bit in the 2021 season. Though it was only 11 of 24, the 46 percent from this range, combined with 82 percent from the line, bodes well for his shooting percentage from outside, Little is known as a notoriously hard worker, so it would not surprise me to see his efficiency and volume increase in the 2022 season.

Little improved all of his shooting percentages last year, if this continues next season, or if he stats the same on similar volume, he will find himself a bigger part of the Blazers rotation.
