Ranked four out of five, Zach Collins 10th pick in 2018 NBA Draft

This pick is tough to evaluate because of Zach Collins constant injuries. There’s no doubt that Collins can play, but sadly he has only recorded 20 odd games in total over the last two NBA seasons.

Collins, standing six-foot-eleven, was picked 10th in 2018 out of Gonzaga, and had two promising years before the injury bug hit. As a big who can stretch the floor and defend the rim, he is a pretty rare commodity. Collins is so skilled for his size, but him playing healthy and in a big role just hasn’t happened yet.

Sadly, his injury issues have made this draft pick a miss.

Not playing in the last two years of his rookie deal and requiring a new deal this season to show that he has a future in this league, may mean that he pans out for another team, not the Blazers.

Neil still may have made the right choice drafting Collins, but the injuries mean that this one is likely a fail.
