Portland Trail Blazers Bold prediction #3 – Nassir Little will break out in 2022

Nassir Little was drafted in 2019, but a lack of opportunity and contracting COVID-19 just when the Blazers needed him, meant that he hasn’t really had the chance to show what he can do on a consistent basis.

But the six-foot-five forward is primed for a third-year breakout.

With his ability to guard multiple positions because of his length and strength, combined with being able to stretch the floor and attack the rim, Little is the perfect piece to upgrade the flimsy bench defense.

Little is still just 21, but with the work ethic he possesses he is a natural fit to be one of the long-term forward options on this Blazers team.

Getting up to 35 percent from three in his second year while also flashing some off the dribble ability, has fans excited about the prospect of him lining up next to young shooter Anfernee Simons in bench units. With the Blazers lack of money to spend on free agents, it makes perfect sense just to increase LIttle’s role instead.

The Blazers will need increased production from their younger guys if they are to support Dame’s bid for a stronger seed in the Western Conference, and of course, a first MVP.
