Carmelo Anthony destination #3 – Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers disappointingly missed the NBA Playoffs in 2021, after injuries, chemistry issues, and an inconsistent offense marooned their season.

This team lacks experience in a lot of ways, in both the postseason and in general. After a well-publicized on-court spat between coach Nate Bjordkren and Goga Bitadze, the Pacers need to invest in chemistry and veteran leadership.

That the 500 game Justin Holiday is their most experienced player, shows they need to round their squad out with more guys like Melo.

Sitting around league average in three-point efficiency, but below league average in terms of makes. An excellent fit next to defensive ace Myles Turner, Melo could be part of the bench units when franchise centerpiece Domantas Sabonis sits.

Melo could play between strong defenders Turner and Jeremy Lamb, adding shot creation and experience to a Pacers team that has nice building blocks and definite playoff potential.

Carmelo Anthony can help a playoff team with his locker-room leadership and three-point shooting. If the Blazers decide they want more of a defensive team, there are many other teams he can help in the NBA.
