Portland Trail Blazers head coaching candidate – Mike D’Antoni

Mike D’Antoni brings 16 years of head coaching experience to his resume as the most experienced coach currently on the market. The current Brooklyn Nets assistant coach has been regarded as an “offensive mastermind” after successful stints in Phoenix and Houston, which relied on high efficiency through D’Antoni’s small-ball system.

According to NBA.com, the biggest question for D’Antoni will come on whether he can make improvements on the other side of the ball, where the Blazers ranked 23rd in points allowed per game, according to NBA.com. Portland will have plenty of time to decide on D’Antoni as he is in the midst of a playoff run with the Nets.

We broke down his candidacy in full here.
