Team #3: L.A. Clippers

Portland Trades: CJ McCollum, 1 of Simons/Little, 1st round pick 2022 & 2024

Los Angeles Trades: Paul George

Why Portland does this: They finally get the perimeter defender that they have been searching for. It would be awkward for a month with the beef between George and Lillard but it would be the perfect scenario for George being a star for 45 minutes and then being able to sit back and watch Dame for the last 3 minutes.

Why L.A. does this: The sky falls in L.A. Dallas beats them in the first round or Utah routs them in the second round. Kawhi bails in free agency, the Clippers fans turn on PG, they go into asset collection mode since the Thunder own their future getting two 1st round picks and McCollum who they can then flip for more assets down the road and a young player on a roster devoid of future potential.
