Damian Lillard has released a brand-new Adidas signature shoe to commemorate his epic game-winner and 50-point night in the famous win over OKC in 2019.
Damian Lillard keeps busy off the court. The five-time All Star has a successful rap career as a solo artist, and his wife recently gave birth to twins. This week, he added another custom shoe to his signature sneaker line with Adidas, a brand new release celebrating his incredible game-winner over OKC in the 2019 season.
ESPN’s sneaker insider and endorsement writer Nick De Paula broke the news on the release on Twitter.
This edition of Dame’s signature will commemorate the most famous moment in his career; the 50-point performance, and game and series-winning buzzer-beater over Paul George and the Oklahoma City Thunder. The sneakers feature an OKC colorway on the outside, with Dame’s stats for the game also printed on similar colors on the sole.
Though this game is a great memory for Blazer fans, it sent the Thunder into a re-build, as this game spelled the end of the George – Russell Westbrook era. It’s probably no coincidence that these shoes have been made public now, as the Blazers play the Thunder on Monday night at the Moda Center.
Dame signed a ten-year deal with Adidas in 2014, that sits him alongside James Harden of the Brooklyn Nets as the two main athletes in the Adidas basketball stable.
The Blazers’ next game is against the New York Knicks on Sunday at 7.00 pm Pacific time.
