Stat #4 – Made three-pointers – 1776

Dame has made a whopping 1776 three-pointers in his regular-season NBA career. This mark is good enough for him to rank 20th in NBA history.  Though the NBA has changed over the last 5 years where we see significantly more three-pointers attempted, few players have the volume and accuracy that Dame has.

Dame also only has four active players ahead of him in this list. If you take out the likely retired J.R. Smith and Jamal Crawford, and the injured Klay Thompson, it leaves just 4 others he is in competition with for a longtime spot near the top of this leaderboard.

As Dame makes around 200 three-pointers a season, he can move into the top ten this season if he has a healthy year.

This mark is also first all-time for the Blazers, and, likely, another Blazers player will never beat this mark. Dame is one of the greatest scorers in NBA history, and though there will be other great scorers to come along for other NBA teams, the small market of Portland will likely never see another scorer or shooter like him.

Stat #5 – Points per game – 24.2

The most impressive statistic on Dame’s resume is his career points per game mark of 24.2. Not only is this the best mark in Blazers history, but this also ranks a staggering 19th in NBA History.

Though these marks go down at the end of a player’s career as they cannot sustain a high 20 plus points per game average, that Dame is already in 19th after just eight seasons in the league shows just how heavily he has scored in his time in the NBA.

He already sits amongst some of the greatest scorers and players in this game. Every single retired player above him is in the Basketball Hall of Fame.

If he has a season at 27 points per game and is healthy for the whole year, he will move into the top 16 all-time at around 24.5 points per game.

Though it relies heavily on his health, Dame can significantly move up this leaderboard in the next few years.

Dame’s greatness doesn’t lie completely in his impressive statistic resume, but the above numbers show that he belongs in the games elite.
