No. 1: Roy’s last hurrah against the Mavericks in 2011

Brandon Roy gave everything he had for the Trail Blazers; his heart, mind, and body. When the latter would not allow him to continue to start, Roy accepted a bench role with the team, determined to give them his all still.

On April 23rd, 2011, Roy gave the team and the fans a farewell of sorts.

Against the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the 2011 NBA playoffs, the Portland Trail Blazers were climbing an uphill battle against the eventual champions, the Dallas Mavericks.

After losing the first two games in the series, the team managed to pick up a win in game three, setting them up for a crucial game four.

The team was on the brink of elimination after missing their first 15 shots of the second half. Entering the fourth quarter down 67-49, Brandon Roy embodied the fountain of youth and delivered one last spectacle for Portland.

Roy scored 18 points in the quarter leading the Blazers in a 35 point outburst in the fourth. The team’s explosive performance was enough to win the game for them and keep their playoff hopes alive.

While they would go on to lose the next two games and the series itself, Brandon Roy’s fourth-quarter explosion will forever be remembered by this wonderful fanbase.
