Three-pointers per game – Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard is likely to own most of the scoring records in 2021, and the made three-pointers mark is another lock. The 2020 version of Dame was a super-charged three-point shooting machine.

Dame hit an incredible 4.1 three-pointers a game last season, good enough for a total of 270 in the season, a career, and Blazer record, even though he played just 66 games. Very rarely does a player have a career-high in attempts and a career-high in percentage.

Dame also hit 40.1 percent of his three-point attempts, bettering his career-high of 39.4 percent from 2013/14.

As I alluded to above, Dame may take slightly fewer shots with a superior lineup of teammates to take the pressure off him. But he won’t be taking any less threes.

Now the premier deep three shooter in the NBA, Dame will likely take more threes as he moves past thirty-years-old. At six-foot-two, as Dame ages, he will attempt more and more threes.

McCollum will likely attempt six or seven threes a game, but his attempt rate won’t be close to Dame.

Prediction – Damian Lillard; 288 made three-pointers.
