There is a chance that the Toronto Raptors will be unable to pay Fred Van Vleet this offseason. If this is the case, I would love to see the Raptors draft another guard. If Theo Maldeon out of France is still on the board, he would be the man to select.

Maledon is a six-four point guard who has been mentored by French legend Tony Parker.

He is a traditional floor general who uses smarts and fundamentals to finish at the rim, and as a shooter. He isn’t a great athlete but he has a reputation as a hard worker.

His defense is fundamentally sound too, but he needs to use his frame better so he could guard the oppositions point attack in the NBA.

The Celtics have a myriad of wings on their roster already, but sleeper Desmond Bane could be a steal they could use sooner rather than later.

Bane is a 22-year-old shooting guard, who has crafted his game in four years at TCU. He has good positional size at six-foot-five with a defined 215-pound body. He shot an excellent 43 percent from three in his four years in College, and is a strong playmaker also.

He has been mocked all over the first round, probably because of his age, but I like him as a two-guard who can defend, play make, and shoot.
