2020 NBA Draft: Mock Draft 2.0 – all 30 first round picks
The Brooklyn Nets are in win-now mode, and as I alluded to above, will want to continue bringing in creators to complement Durant and Irving. They will also want to keep a few good young prospects on the books to extend their contention window.
They could select exciting wing prospect Leandro Bolmaro, out of Argentina. Bolmaro is a six-foot-seven wing who is currently plying his trade for Barcelona in Spain.
He is a phenomenal passer who can make high-level reads and make every pass in the book, with either hand. He can also defend at a strong level on and off the ball.
His lack of shooting is concerning, as he shot just 28 percent from three in the last season.
Bolmaro is only 19, though, so he could learn from some of the best to ever do it while in Brooklyn.
I think that the Celtics will trade one or more of their picks, but if they keep 26, I could see them drafting Robert Woodard out of Mississippi State.
Woodard is a 20-year-old forward who stands six-foot-seven and has a massive seven-foot-one wingspan. He projects as a high-level role player who has an improving jumper and excellent athleticism on both ends of the court.
He cuts hard and uses his 235-pound frame and smooth movements to finish through or round opponents.
He is a great defender and can defend a couple of positions with his IQ on that end and excellent physical tools.
