Portland Trail Blazers bargain basement free agent ten – Kyle Korver

If the Blazers want one of the greatest three-point shooters of all-time to pot away from the corners in the 2021 season, they could look to sign Kyle Korver.

Though he will turn 40 in the coming season, there is no substitute for elite shooting. Only three times in Korver’s 17-year career has he not hit the coveted 40 percent from three-point range.

Korver is an all-time great shooter, and at age 39, in the playoffs in his 17th season, he hit 41 percent from three in 111 minutes.

Korver has an excellent team defender’s reputation, and although he can’t guard the quicker forwards anymore, he is great in the post and has excellent hands.

Anything he gives away on defense, he makes up for with his shooting gravity and off-ball movement on offense. Korver is excellent as a catch and shoot guy who can come off-screens, use dribble handoffs from bigs, or pull up from the perimeter in transition.

Korver is a perfect power forward for between 14 and 20 minutes a night off the bench. He has been accepting minimum deals recently, and he may want to try his luck on one more playoff team before hanging up his Nike’s.

One of these ten options may be required if the Blazers spend all their mid-level on a starter.
