The Portland Trail Blazers are low on money but still need to fill out their roster for 2021. Which bargain-basement free agents can they sign?

The Portland Trail Blazers will likely have the midlevel exception available for 2020 Free Agency. At around $10 million, this may get them just one plus NBA starter. Even if it were split over two or more players, it would only leave the rest of the bench filled with minimum contracts.

There are still options on the minimum, though. I’ve broken down ten of the available free agents likely to be gettable on minimum deals. The veteran’s minimum is its own exception, so it doesn’t count against the team’s mid-level. Some of these players may be worth more than the minimum, but with the cap likely to stay at the same level as last season, there will be less money available for free agents.

Many of these free agents aren’t exciting options, but with a roster spot or two available on the minimum, the Blazers will be looking for bargains that can play.
