The Portland Trail Blazers have unveiled their new “City” edition jersey for the upcoming season, drawing inspiration from their state and the people.

On Thursday, October 29th, the Portland Trail Blazers dropped a new jersey, and it’s far from the norm for the team. Drawing inspiration from their home state, the Blazers’ new jersey shines a light on the beauty of Oregon and those who have lived there for generations.

A daring new color scheme featuring not only the traditional red, white, and black, but also blue, orange, and yellow.

According to the team, the new uniforms were designed to celebrate “the unique beauty of Oregon’s landscape” Additionally, the team said that the uniforms are meant to honor the tribal nations throughout what is now Oregon.

The Blazers have been fairly reserved when it comes to uniform designs over the years, so these uniforms will take some getting used to, but fans should approach this with an open mind.

It may not be the traditional red, white, and black, but the team has made an effort to honor not only their state but those who have lived in that land for generations.

It’s a great sentiment partnered with a bold design, one that will likely be loved by fans, if not now, very soon.

All it will likely take is an endorsement from Blazers’ star Damian Lillard who will surely be excited about the uniforms. Lillard has been proud to represent not only “Rip City” but the state of Oregon since being drafted by the Blazers.

The excitement is sure to be palpable the first time the team dons their newest uniform.
