As the offseason begins, so do the trade rumors. Here are the Los Angeles Lakers who could sign with the Portland Trail Blazers this year.

Love it or hate it, the Los Angeles Lakers are once again World Champions, winning their seventeenth title in October. For Portland Trail Blazers fans, seeing the purple and gold succeed has historically been anything but pleasurable.

Between their supersized market and Portland’s 2-10 playoff series record against the franchise, the Lakers rarely see much love in the Northwest.

Regardless, props must be given to the Lakers’ group of guys, many of whom were single year signings and first time teammates, for coming together and accomplishing the most difficult task in basketball.

Of course, much of the credit goes to Finals MVP LeBron James and his “sidekick” Anthony Davis, who would be the focal point on just about any other franchise in the league.

While the two superstars undeniably led the Lakers on their 2020 title run, several role players stepped up in Orlando and provided the energy and cohesion necessary in a championship team.

As the entire league now enters their offseason, the process once again begins of forming new and improved rosters meant to take a franchise to the next level.

In looking at Los Angeles’ contracts and salaries, it is near impossible the roster will look the same in the upcoming season.

With that in mind, here are three Lakers the Portland Trail Blazers would benefit from signing.
