NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski has announced that Portland Trail Blazers guard Gary Trent Jr. has signed with Klutch Sports.

Today, Adrian Wojnarowski announced that Portland Trail Blazers guard Gary Trent Jr. has signed with a new agency – Klutch Sports.

Trent was one of the breakout players of the NBA Bubble this season. After not even being in the rotation to start the season, Trent worked his way into some court time in the new year, then exploded in the bubble.

In the seeding games, Trent was at his best. He averaged 17 points a game on a whopping 50.7 percent from three. He was a massive part of the Blazers seven and two run that got them to the play-in game and eventually a series with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Trent’s tough defense was also a reason he stood out. Trent did an admirable job on LeBron James in the first round of the playoffs.

A second-round pick in 2018, Trent has just one year left on his rookie deal.

Signing with Klutch is a smart move for Trent. He can sign an extension after next season, and if his play continues as it did in the 2019/20 season, he will be inline for a big raise.

Being with a big organization like Klutch, they have negotiated many large paydays for players and boast LeBron James and CEO Rich Paul as their big wigs.

Trent has a massive future in this league, and this move to Klutch is likely just the beginning of his ascension.
