Portland Trail Blazers star guard CJ McCollum turns 29-years-old today. Today, we’ll look back on the best moments of his career to this point.

In a way, it’s somewhat difficult to imagine, but at the start of the 2020-21 season, CJ McCollum will be jumpstarting the eighth season of his professional career. Today, the smooth-shooting combo guard turns 29-years-old, so, in commemoration, we’ll look back at the ten greatest moments of his career.

At this juncture, it doesn’t feel overly ambitious to refer to him as one of the all-time great Portland Trail Blazers players. Next season, he will have the opportunity to jump into the top-10 countless franchise leaderboards.

For instance, he needs: 70 more games to reach the top-10 in games played. 219 more made shots to reach the top-10 in FGM. 234 points to crack the top-10 on the points leaderboard, and has already played in some of the franchise’s most important postseason games.

Suffice to say, he’s set himself up for a successful run over the backend of his career. He continues to be the subject of trade rumors and questions as to if he and Damian Lillard are enough of a two-way juggernaut to bring a title to Portland, but for at least one day, all of that ceases to exist. Here are the “greatest hits” in the career of Christian James McCollum.
