On his 46th birthday, we reflect on the legacy of Rasheed Wallace, one of the greatest players in Portland Trail Blazers franchise history.

“Ra-Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeed Wallace!” If you were lucky enough to attend a Portland Trail Blazers game in the late nineties or early 2000s, the sound of the (then) Rose Garden’s announcer blaring Rasheed Wallace’s name should resonate.

Throughout his 16 seasons in the league, no fanbase heard his name live more than Portland’s. In seven and a half seasons with the franchise, Wallace played some of his best seasons while providing the Blazers with one of their best eras ever. On his 46th birthday, let’s look back at a few reasons why the divisive star should continue to be celebrated by Rip City.
