Trail Blazers: Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum roast Clippers on Twitter

Patrick Beverley famously sparked a Clippers and Trail Blazers beef in the seeding games. Now after blowing a 3-1 lead, Dame and CJ roasted them on Twitter.

The Trail Blazers and Clippers went at it in the Bubble seeding games prior to the NBA playoffs. After Damian Lillard missed two key free throws at the end of their matchup, Patrick Beverley comically pretended to fall off his chair, yelling,” Dame time. ”

Paul George got into it with Gary Trent Jr. during the game as well, before it turned into a back and forth on social media between both teams. Though the Clippers won this game, it was in a lot of ways a meaningless game for them as they already had their playoff seeding.

Now, after the Clippers embarrassingly blew a three games to one lead in the conference semifinals to the Denver Nuggets, NBA twitter has come for both George and Beverley. CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard have led the way, tweeting a whole bunch of hilarious one-liners at the Clippers expense.

George and Beverley’s comments have unfortunately come back to bite them, as Dame and CJ deservedly dined out on their playoff failure. What bothered them and Blazers fans the most was that the Clippers went so hard on the trash talk earlier in the bubble, in what was a meaningless seeding game for them.

When push came to shove, the Clippers weren’t able to back up their trash-talk. The Blazers rivalry with Paul George continues.
