In what may be a huge blow for the Portland Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard went to the locker-room in the second half of the game with the Los Angeles Lakers.

In a disturbing site for Portland Trail Blazers fans, Damian Lillard had to exit the game in the third quarter with looks like a potentially serious finger injury to his left hand.

With a few minutes left in the third quarter, Dame looked to poke the ball away from Anthony Davis after chasing him around a screen from his Laker teammate. He managed to dislodge the ball, but Davis’s shoe caught him on the way through.

Dame winced in pain instantly and walked to the bench. Though it wasn’t obvious to look at on the broadcast, the images showed his finger was swelling, and the TV broadcast announced it as a dislocated finger.

In obvious discomfort courtside, Dame was being examined by medical staff when he walked off on his own and threw a towel into one of the advertising banners. Clearly in a lot of pain as well being frustrated by the blowout, he may be in doubt for the rest of the series.

In some good news, they managed to get him an Xray which came back negative and confirmed the dislocation. At the time of reporting, the Blazers were down 30 to the Lakers in what is looking like a blowout loss. NBA insider Shams reporting below confirms what we know already.

We hope this isn’t serious and that Dame can return for a huge game three. The series will be tied at one apiece.
