Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard has achieved the unique feat of averaging 30 points a game. This is a first in franchise history.
A massive finish to the regular season in the NBA Bubble for Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard, saw him move his scoring average to the season to 29.96. This will go down in the history books though, as a 30 point per game average due to rounding.
No Blazers player has ever averaged 30 points per game before. Dame takes the scoring record though, from Blazer legend Clyde Drexler who averaged 27.2 points per game in the 1988/19 series.
As you can see with the below list, both Dame and Clyde are imprinted heavily on the top ten scoring leaders in franchise history. They occupy eight of the ten spots.
Dame is also one of only 73 players ever in NBA history to achieve the coveted 30 points per game mark. Interestingly, out of these 73 players, Dame had the fifth-most efficient season while also having the least turnovers, equal with Bradley Beal.
Dame averaging 30 points a game while having one of the most efficient high volume seasons of all-time shows just how far his game has grown this year. He had career highs across the board and hit a whopping 270 threes as well.
This is a new Blazer record as well as the 12th most in a season in NBA history.
This was an all-time great Blazer season, and potentially one of the best high volume scoring seasons in NBA History. Would you expect anything less from Dame?
