Bargain Free Agent #7 – Courtney Lee

Veteran Courtney Lee of the Dallas Mavericks has played in the league 12 seasons. He has had stints with many teams which include a trip to the NBA finals with the Orlando Magic.

Unfortunately, his career was recently derailed when the New York Knicks stopped playing him last season before trading him to the Dallas Mavericks. Lee has always been a great shooter, as evidenced by his career 38.8 percent mark from three.

Although he is 34, Lee had two strong seasons for the Knicks in 2017 and 18. He is also a great defender, and his playoff experience would be useful for this team.

At six-foot-five has good positional size, and he could match up well with other teams shooting guards. He hasn’t had a lot of minutes in Dallas this year or last, so he would likely join a team on a friendly contract to prove he still belongs in the league.

Bargain Free Agent #8 – E’Twaun Moore

New Orleans Pelican E’Twaun Moore is in the last year of a three-year deal. A journeyman shooting guard who is now 31, Moore has fashioned a nice career for himself after being drafted 55th in 2011.

Like Lee, Moore is a great three-point shooter at a career rate of 39 percent. But he also has one of the best floater games in the league, hitting at around 48 percent.

Moore isn’t as strong a defender as Lee, but he can attack off the dribble and has some playoff experience with the Pelicans. At only 31, he still has a few years left. He can also do some secondary playmaking, which would help on the Blazers second unit.

Moore’s market is probably between 4 and 8 million. Still a good deal for a guy of his efficiency as a shooter.
