The team at Rip City Project put their heads together once again to figure out what in the world the Trail Blazers’ are going to do at the trade deadline.

The February 6 trade deadline looms closer with each passing game, and it seems the Portland Trail Blazers are still stuck in NBA purgatory.

What will they do next? What trades must be made? Who on this current roster will remain at the end of the year? Can this team still compete, or is it time to throw in the towel?

Truth be told, there’s a lot to absorb here. Portland’s General Manager Neil Olshey is known for hiding the cards up sleeve notoriously well, which makes predicting the Trail Blazers’ next moves that much harder.

Fortunately, we’re not playing completely blind here. Olshey surprised many with his decision to deal Kent Bazemore, Anthony Tolliver and a pair of second-round draft picks just a half-season through their tenure with the team.

The exchange netted Trevor Ariza and a pair of potentially interesting prospects, while granting some valuable insight as to what he may still have in store for us in the future.

To help make sense of it all, Rip City Project collaborated to give our opinions on the biggest hot topics in Portland basketball right now. Here’s what you can expect the Trail Blazers to do next.
