Sometimes you have to tear things down before you can build them back up. For the Portland Trail Blazers, that might mean a few trades may be necessary.

With a rocky 14-20 start to the season and a treacherous five-game road trip laying ahead, the Portland Trail Blazers are officially staring down the barrel and entering dangerous territory.

For many desperate fans, it’s easier to look ahead to the trade deadline or the draft and imagine a brighter future laying ahead in the immediate future. This attitude seems to be quite infectious, considering most people involved with the media and executive level seem to agree that Portland will be an active participant in February’s trade deadline.

But for a team that has prided itself in maintaining a stable roster and locker room environment for so many years, its odd to see this year’s team look so radically different from the roster that advanced to last year’s Western Conference Finals.

Let’s take a look at the four names I believe we can expect to be on the hot seat leading up to the February 6 trade deadline.
