Portland Trail Blazers fans and Kevin Durant can finally see eye to eye on one thing — Damian Lillard is without a doubt one of the most electric players in the NBA.

Since breaking onto the scene in 2012, Damian Lillard‘s star power has been undeniable. He led the league in minutes played as a rookie and has since attained four All-Star and All-NBA selections each. He has led the Portland Trail Blazers to the playoffs in every year since his sophomore season. He’s made a name for himself in the hip hop industry and even earned his big break in Hollywood, set to star in Space Jam 2.

While he’s been entertaining the people of Portland for quite some time now, his peers are starting to take notice as well. When Kevin Durant appeared on First Take, he was prompted to list his personal top five players in the NBA. Sure enough, Lillard was on that list.

To be fair, Durant intentionally directed the question down another right to avoid predictable internet arguments. Instead, he opted to name his five favorite players to watch in the league. Dame joins the likes of LeBron James, James Harden, Kyrie Irving and Joel Embiid.

If this particular group of NBA superstars shared a collective trophy case, they would hold host to an outrageous 34 All-Star appearances, 29 All-NBA selections, three scoring titles, eight All-Defensive Team selections, five MVP awards and four championship rings.

Phew.

On the individual side of things, Dame has put together an impressive career. He has accumulated career averages of 23.6 points, 6.3 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game. Although he hasn’t had a desirable level of postseason success quite yet, Logo Lillard has put Portland basketball back on the map by delivering iconic game-winning shots and remaining unwavered in his loyalty to Rip City.

Considering Lillard is still in his prime at just 29-years-old and has earned a reputation for being an iron man that never takes games off, we can expect a lot more entertaining basketball out of Big Game Dame.
