What if our favorite basketball players were in our favorite movies? Rip City Project compares Disney+ characters to current Portland Trail Blazers.

As you may have already hear, Disney brought the heat packing in the last few days announcing just what will be available to watch when their Disney+ streaming service finally goes live on November 12, 2019. Rip City Project thought we could have a little fun and compare Portland Trail Blazers players to some of our favorite movie and television characters over the years.

Disney+ is said to be including the full library of Disney classics, including over 500 movies and 7500 episodes of television series. They will also reportedly come out with over 10 new movies and documentaries and over 25 original television shows within the first year. Simply put, we got a lot to work with here.

This means you can catch a lot of your childhood classics, including the full collection of classic Disney Animation and live action, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, ESPN, National Geographic and Fox shows such as The Simpsons.

For simplicity’s sake, we decided to narrow these comparisons down to the four major categories in hopes you guys would be familiar with the subject matter. We’ll detail each category out below so you can pick and choose your favorites.

  1. Disney Animation
  2. Marvel
  3. Pixar
  4. Star Wars

We chose three comparisons for each category, so there’s a lot to dig into here. Read along in the following slides and let us know if you agree or disagree!
