Building the Portland Trail Blazers All-Decade Team (2010-19)
What would a team comprised of the top players from the last ten successful years in Portland Trail Blazers history look like?
Dating back to 2010, the Portland Trail Blazers have posted an overall record of 451-353. While Portland may not be a huge market or a team with many banners hanging from the ceiling, the Blazers have always found a way to maximize their talent and build a playoff contender from scratch.
That begs the question, what exactly would a team constructed of the best Blazers over the last decade look like? If you took the best individual units of each rendition of the team’s rosters that have won 25 playoff games in the last decade, surely you’d have a pretty dangerous squad on our hands, right?
Rip City Project set to scouring the years and finding the answer to this question. From Brandon Roy electrifying the nation in 2010 all the way up to Damian Lillard doing it again in 2019; from surviving a quick rebuilding period, to spreading their wings and taking flight to the Western Conference Finals, the Blazers have seen it all.
In the same fashion as the All-Star Game and Team USA selection process, we’re going to whittle this down to a 12-man roster. A starter and primary reserve will be listed at each position, with another two additional players worthy of a mention rounding out the roster. But for those of you who’d like to see it expanded to a whole 15 players, we’ll toss you this little bone.
Honorable Mentions: Marcus Camby (C), Gerald Wallace (SF), Steve Blake (PG)
Without further ado, let’s roll right into our depth chart of former and current Portland Trail Blazers’ stars.
