We’re in certified All-Star territory now. Bradley Beal is only the second player on this list thus far (besides DeRozan) to have already earned an All-Star appearance. The Wizards seem to have made a commitment to Beal’s talent by refusing to put him on the trade market.
Instead of bringing in a handsome haul for the two-time All-Star, Washington wants to ride things out with their tandem of Beal and John Wall.
Beal tried his hardest to prevent the Wizards from bottoming out last year by putting up 25.6 points, 5.5 assists and 5 rebounds a night. He also didn’t miss a single game en route to leading the league in minutes played, refusing to tank and instead opting to pick up the slack for his injured backcourt partner.
His defense was a little exposed this year and holds him back from moving up higher on this list, but that should hardly discredit him. Beal posted the highest Box Plus/Minus (2.8) and Value over Replacement Player (3.7) of his career, proving he dishes out much more than he receives.
Speaking of VoRP, Beal posted the 18th highest mark in that statistic of all players in the league. Whether or not he gets traded before next season, Beal has proven he has a lot more to put on display, so let’s just all sit back and bear witness.
